Khalifa Excellence Award
Al Noor Hospital's continuing quest for
service excellence, celebrated its achievement of Certificate of
Appreciation awarded to Dr. Kassem Alom, Managing Director of the
hospital, held on April 29, 2003 in the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce
and Industry (ADCCI). Believing in the essence of excellence, the
leaders of the hospital recognize that fulfillment of the corporate
mission can be a living reality and a way of life within the
organization following a roadmap to quality and continual improvement.
Such is the prime mover that inspired Al Noor Hospital to participate in
the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards. Organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber
of Commerce and industry, the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Awards is a
prestigious prize given to organizations in recognition of their efforts
to produce quality services and products. Apart from this, participating
organizations benefit by obtaining an insight on how to apply and
utilize the excellence model in their ongoing journey towards continual
improvement.
2005 - Excellence Award
ISO 9001: 2000 CERTIFICATE
Al Noor Hospital reaped the fruit of its hard work as the Bureau Veritas
Quality International (BVQI) declared that the hospital had successfully
passed the assessment for certification to ISO 9001: 2000.Assessors from
the BVQI as representative from the United Kingdom Accreditation Service
(UKAS) conducted a two-day assessment of the quality management system
of Al Noor Hospital on July 28-29, 2003. The Hospital was initially
certified in 2000 under the ISO 9002: 1994 version to ensure that
patient care and services are in conformance to internationally
recognized standards. The new version of Al Noor Hospitals quality
management system is anchored on the quality management principles and
elements of ISO 9001: 2000 standard. One of the main improvements of the
system involves the establishment of the linkage or interface of the
various work processes of the hospital. Having the ISO 9001: 2000
certificate as our seal of excellence, our customers are continually
assured of quality patient care and services. As we are always proud to

International Award for Best Performance 2002
Upon international recognition of the vital role and global standards in
healthcare, Al Noor Hospital received the International Award for Best
Performance 2002. This award, which is honored by the Council of
International Awards in United Kingdom, acknowledges the companies who
managed to excel their performance despite the global economic
depression following September 11. The internationally recognized award
is to be added as one of the great achievements of our hospital members
commitment & coherence to accentuate the leadership of the hospital in
the region.
Middle East Arab Health Award
Presented the Best Use of Public-Private Partnerships in Health Care, Al
Noor Hospital was amongst the winners in an inaugural ceremony launched
by the Middle East Arab Health Conference in correlation with Middle
East Health Magazine. The award given to Al Noor in recognition of its
outstanding contribution in the continual development and progress of
the health care industry in the region, emphasizing on the strong
partnership of Al Noor Hospital with Abu Dhabi Womens College Higher
Colleges of Technology - Abu Dhabi in the field of education and
training. Preparation of the hospitals entry to the awards was made
possible through the genuine efforts of R&D Department.
Al Noor - JCIA - Journey to
Excellence:
Al Noor Hospital is seeking the transfer of knowledge and development of
expertise to become a world-class facility in compliance with the Joint
Commission International Accreditation Standards for Hospitals, with the
ultimate goal of achieving JCIA Accreditation.
Al Noor Hospital is in the process of implementing the essential
leadership, management, quality improvement, and clinical structures and
processed required to meet accreditation standards.
