This department caters for an enhanced
Heart Catheterization Centre equipped with state of the art equipment.
The centre is staffed with highly skilled cardiologists who are capable
of performing a wide range of diagnostic and intervention procedures
including:
- Coronary Angiograms; dye injected into the arteries identify blockages
of the heart and lungs
- Angiography; the opening of narrowing in the arteries of the heart and
lungs
- Abdominal aneurism repair
- Insertion of pacemakers
- Inter coronary stenting
Al Noor Heart Catheterization Centre is supported by a 24 hour on-call
physician for patients requiring urgent procedures in case of heart
attack or an irregular rhythm.
